Our Transparent Liquid Level Gauges are designed for precise measurement of both total and interface liquid levels in a vessel. They consist of two flat transparent glasses that are separated by a chamber, with the level of the liquid indicated by the different transparency of the two media

A source of light, known as an illuminator, may be located at the back of the gauge.
When the light passes through the process fluid and is viewed by the observer, a
measurement of the liquid level can be taken.

In environments where steam is present, our Transparent Liquid Level Gauges can
be equipped with Mica shields on the glass for excellent protection. For corrosive
environments, Kel-F shields should be used instead.
